Now that you’ve checked in with yourself, let’s unlock some keys to becoming the best birth partner you can be!

The 5 cornerstones of the partner role include:

  1. Breath companion
  2. Movement supporter role
  3. Provider
  4. Protector
  5. Keeper

~If you identified in the previous post that you are you in “gathering” mode, that’s the provider aspect of the role!
~If you identified in the previous post that you are you in “vigilance” mode, that’s the protector aspect of the role!
-If you identified in the previous post that you are in “manager” mode, that’s the keeper aspect of the role!
-If you identified in the previous post that you are in “yoda” mode, that’s the breath companion aspect of the role!

You’re already on your way, probably more than you thought you were!

Remember: we all will take on roles differently, assign different importance to different aspects of the role and bring our unique skills and perspectives to them. Define what your role as a partner is for your family, what that looks like, what’s important to you & what’s important to her.
